i have been graciously invited to a cake party and i'm excited! as the name describes, it's a party where every one brings a cake (and the recipe) to share. we will have a light supper to ensure non-sugary sustenance in our stomachs before getting down to the main event of eating cake. the date is less than two weeks away and i still need to pick what cake to bring. does anyone have a favorite?
a few ladies have made decisions and will be bringing:
lady baltimore
red velvet
chocolate with bacon
orange and dark chocolate
my primal instict tells me to stick with chocolate somewhere in the dessert, but springtime lends so nicely to fruit. i have some ideas, but would love to hear yours.

My favorite cake right now is a lemon raspberry pudding cake. It's low fat, light, easy to make BUT incredibly DELICIOUS!
oooh, that sounds good. can i check out the recipe?
have you ever had a banana cake with cream cheese frosting? it is one of my favorites!!! Check out the rave reviews on this recipe: http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/Best-Ever-Banana-Cake-With-Cream-Cheese-Frosting-67256
In the last couple months, I've tried both these cakes and they were pretty good.

I love your lean to lemon. There is nothing like a lemon cake. My good friend make this unforgettable one but I am sure you'll find a delight of a recipe in your searching. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Lemon-Layer-Cake-with-Lemon-Cream-Frosting-104576
